Locating Your Lost Phone
To track your device, go to the link www.google.com/android/devicemanager on your personal computer and log in with your Google Account (Your Google Account should be same as you were logged in with on your lost android device). You will be asked to provide the app with the permission to use location data.
Hit the 'Accept' button.
Here is the catch. If you have your GPS turned off on your lost phone, the device manager wouldn't be able to tell you about your phone location. Hence, the service will only work if your GPS is turned on. Therefore, it is a good idea to turn on your GPS on scenarios where it is more likely to lose your phone.
Assuming that you had turned on your GPS on your android phone or device, a map will pop up with information regarding your device's location.
